My Fave Five | Recipes | Soups

Preparing food on campfire

Today I want to talk about my favorite soup recipes. I really love soups a lot. They can be inexpensive, are hardy and filling, you can choose to use meat, or not, and you can make them from scratch, the noodles and all. I have so many favorites when it comes to soups, stews, chowders and the like, but I wanted to pick 5 delicious soup recipes to share with you all.

My Top 5 were hard to choose because there is truly endless options for what you can use to make a soup or stew. Even though I struggled to narrow it down, I think I picked some pretty awesome recipes. These recipes are different from your traditional soups like beef vegetable, or chicken noodle, and this makes them unique and worth a try. I am sure you will enjoy them as much as I do. Don’t forget that you can find printable versions of all recipes that I share on my Freebies page.

Copycat Panera Broccoli Cheese Soup

Now if you have a Panera Bread restaurant near you, chances are you’ve been there. I absolutely love the soups and breads they have there. My favorite is always the Broccoli Cheese soup. I get in the bread bowl, and it is amazing. I love dipping my french bread chunk that is served with it into the soup. My mouth is watering thinking about it. This recipe is so close to the real thing, I can’t tell a difference. Try your hand at making it, and let me know how it turns out. Don’t forget to download your recipe.

Mexican Street Corn Soup

If you have ever watched videos on Facebook, its likely that you have seen some videos featuring Mexican Street Corn which is a cob of corn layered with mayo, sour cream, different spices, and cheeses. If you like cultural foods like I do, that is a must try. However, this soup is also to die for.  Easy to make, and it only takes an hour from start to finish. It is perfect for a busy day. Download your recipe if you’re ready to give this different yet delicious soup a try.

Instant Pot Zuppa Toscana

When I am fortunate to be able to afford to go out to eat Olive Garden is one of my favorite spots to sit down and enjoy a meal being served. I love their signature soup, salad, and bread sticks deal. Well I am so cheap I never get to do that, instead I like copycat recipes. This Instant Pot Zuppa Toscana is so delicious with lightly buttered breadsticks or rolls, it is sure to be a favorite of yours too. Download your recipe and find out for yourself.

Slow Cooker Stuffed Pepper Soup

Stuffed peppers are one of my favorite go to’s when I want something different. They are not something we normally get to enjoy much in my household, so when we do it is almost as if they are a treat. This soup is no different. It is easy to make and is full of delicious flavor. The best part is that it cooks in a slow cooker, which means you can prepare it and walk away, making it perfect for hot summer days, or when you know you won’t have much time to stand at the stove to cook. Find your recipe for this favorite soup with all the other great printable recipes on my Freebies page.

Shepherd’s Pie Soup

Who doesn’t love some home cooked Shepherd’s Pie? It is usually warm. filling, and tasty. It reminds me of my grandma because I think of country living, and feeding large households. Shepherd’s Pie Soup is just as tasty as the traditional Pie that is baked in the oven. It is a super quick fix, taking only a half an hour to prepare and cook combined. Being tasty and easy to make both, means that this soup could be served often without much effort. Add this recipe to your collection.

I hope you enjoy these soups as much as I do. Feel free to alter them to suit your tastes or needs.

    1. Thank you! I enjoyed writing it. I am thinking about getting into creating my own recipes. I do make things from scratch and without a recipe, so I may just start writing them down and taking pictures!!
